JP Gabriel – Founder / Director / Lighting Designer / Rentals

JP founded Filmlites Montana in 1989, and is a native of Montana. A veteran lighting designer/director that has worked throughout the country.   JP’s company Filmlites Montana, has worked on a majority of commercials or film productions that have come through Montana for the last thirty years.  Serving as Lighting Director on 63rd Primetime Emmy Show, MTV Movie Awards, MTV Music Video Awards, and the taped segments LD for Miss America for 11 years.  His feature work includes under water lighting on Titanic, Northfork, My Sister’s Keeper, and as a grip on River Runs Through It.  There have been hundreds of national commercials and television projects that JP has been involved in lighting.  One big stand out was lighting the Colosseum in Rome for an opera concert on Great Performances PBS.  A resume’ of twenty feature films and hundreds of commercials is available upon request.

Bob Bryan – Staff Grip / Electrician / Automotive Mechanics/Rentals

Bob has been with Filmlites for over 15 years and is an experienced Key Grip and Camera Car driver, Crane operator, and our lead mechanic on the many vehicles at Filmlites.

Andrew Thie – Staff Grip / Electrician /Rentals

Andrew, a graduate of the Montana State University film program has been with Filmlites for 8 years and is our warehouse manager and is an all around electrician for event lighting and motion picture.
